An attending physician cares for 100,000 patients during a career in Emergency Medicine. An attending physician who helps to train 100 residents, helps to care for 10,000,000 patients. For the faculty, the residents become our legacy.
Working each day on the front lines, residents often are the first to identify new ways to improve patient care in the Emergency Department. Residents have an active role not only in improving patient care in the ED, but in shaping their own education by bringing new ideas to help the residency itself continually grow and develop
